First Christian Church | Jacksonville Beach, Florida

First Christian Church is currently composed of several buildings located on a prominent oceanfront site in Neptune Beach, Florida. The 11,000 square foot church building presently houses the sanctuary, fellowship hall, and Sunday school rooms while the nursery and administrative offices are located in separate buildings across the street. The project consists of a new 6,945 square foot two-story addition that contains a new nursery, administrative offices, eight classrooms, and a multi-purpose room. The main entrance is located on the west side and features a large two-story glass entry with a vaulted ceiling which complements the rooflines of the existing sanctuary. The multi-purpose room is located on the east side of the second floor, and features a balcony that overlooks the ocean. The exterior finish is brick veneer to match the existing church building.
